Australian Bush Stories

The short stories are primarily about bush story tellers. In the days before telephones and television, story telling was a popular means of not only entertainment, but often a history of events not recorded or documented. Whether the stories are true or not is another matter.
The Country Pub is a short story concerning one of my more eventful travels in outback NSW.
The Traveling Circus is a funny tale of a constipated elephant and some local bushmen.
The One Tree Plain is another short story about traveling in the bush and meeting a story teller.
The Crow Shooter is one of the best known classic tales told in pubs throughout the bush.
The Bush Fire is an illustrated story of a big bush fire that burnt all around our home.
Have fun and we hope you enjoy the stories and photos.
